Visual Studio Team Lab Management 2010 Overview- Chris Menegay

Visual Studio Team Lab Management 2010 enables teams to accelerate setup/tear down and restoration of complex virtual environments to a known state for test execution and build automation. It extends build automation by automating virtual machine provisioning, build deployment and build verification in an integrated manner. It also allows testers to file rich bugs with links to environment checkpoints that developers can use to recreate complex environments, effectively reducing wasted time and resources in your development and test lifecycle.

Chris will show you what it takes to set up VMs and  environments using Team Lab. A walkthrough of how to automate lab deployment and automated testing during a build process. Using lab environments for manual testing will also be explored... As you would imagine, this session requires a powerful server with a few VMs, Chris will be connection to a live environment at the Notion Solutions office for this session.

Chris Menegay is a Principal Consultant for Notion Solutions, Inc.  He has been helping clients develop business applications for over 10 years, most recently using Microsoft's .NET development platform.  Chris places an emphasis on good design and architecture and has experience with both thick-client .NET applications as well as browser-based, ASP.NET applications.  Chris holds his MCSD.NET certification and is a member of the Microsoft South Central District Developer Guidance Council.  Chris is also a Microsoft .NET MVP and a Microsoft Regional Director. Microsoft Regional Directors are independent developers and architects chosen for their leadership in their local technology circles, whose primary purpose is to share information about Microsoft technologies with their developer communities and to provide feedback from developers to Microsoft.
